Threads

What types of facial threads are there?

Botox or neurotoxin, botulinum toxin type A, is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Botox as the most popular anti-aging treatment in aesthetic dermatology, is used to reduce facial expression wrinkles.

Anger (frowning - wrinkles between the eyebrows), joy (wrinkles around the eyes), sadness (drooping mouth angle), surprise (horizontal wrinkles on the forehead), wrinkles at the base of the nose (bunny lines), and the expressions we do every day with the corresponding muscles of our face, gradually cause the appearance of established expression wrinkles.

The passage of time and the excessive use of the underlying facial muscles make these wrinkles static. Thus, our face looks permanently sad, aged and tired.

Through Botox, we reduce muscular mobility so that it does not cause wrinkles.

When static wrinkles have already formed, Botox helps to gradually smoothen them and reduce their depth.

PDO threads are essentially regenerative surgical sutures made of polydioxanone. This means that they do not suspend the skin, but rather improve its quality and firmness through biostimulation. PDO threads are 100% absorbable by the body.

PDO threads create a supportive mesh that straightens tissues and improves skin quality. The desired result is not immediately visible, however right after the application, the face looks refreshed. The final, desired result is fully visible in the next 3 months.

COG threads or polylactic acid suspension threads offer the instant straightening/tightening of the face.

Their application activates the skin fibroblasts to produce new collagen internally, prevent flaccidity and restore the firmness of the face. COG threads are applied to the cheeks and neck and offer the non-surgical restoration of the neck and the face contour.

The doctor is the one who evaluates the needs of each person and then chooses the thread treatment that will be applied. Where appropriate, the two thread treatments (PDO + COG) can be combined to optimize the effect and increase its duration.

The treatment with Dual threads or Thread Lift is a complete treatment protocol for addressing the flaccidity of the face, restoring its lost volume, but also to restore the areas where aging occurs.

With the Thread Lift treatment we achieve the following results:
  ● Reshaping the contour of the face
  ● Restoration of dynamic wrinkles
  ● Restoration of collagen density

Aptos are the FDA approved threads with the highest suspension and regeneration capacity depending on their type. They can be placed either alone or in combination with other types of threads and give a result completely comparable to surgical lifting.

The difference between Aptos threads and other threads lies in their composition, their action and the duration of the effect. There are also types of aptos threads which are reinforced with hyaluronic acid which offers even greater improvement in the final result.

The difference between Aptos threads and COG threads lies in their composition, their action and the duration of their effect.

Aptos threads have microscopic barbs along their entire length, and are placed inside cannulas. After the detailed analysis of the face and its structure, we apply topical anesthesia. Next, we place the Aptos threads on both sides of the face, at the areas we have chosen to correct. If necessary, we place from 4 to 10 threads per area and all, from a single entry point.

In fact, through Aptos threads, we can tighten the selected areas as much as we want, and also we can correct any minor differences between the two sides of the face.

Description

What are facial threads?

Facial threads treatments recommend non-invasive lifting. Facial threads are essentially sutures that are strategically placed under the skin and straighten the tissues, giving it a more youthful look.

The application of facial threads is one of the most effective anti-aging treatments that directly lifts and tightens the face, neck and décolleté.

Regenerative threads promote the production of collagen and elastin and are ideally placed as a grid of multiple treads always depending on the area of application.

Support and suspension threads have the ability to restore the youthful “V” shape of the face (ie the reversed triangular shape), mainly characterized by an elevated face with volume in the middle.

The combination of threads together with other non-invasive treatments such as facial fillers and autologous mesotherapy (PRP), is a holistic dynamic protocol for the complete reconstruction of the face (Total Face Rejuvenation).

Facial threads are the ultimate alternative for those who do not wish to undergo surgical lifting, but want results comparable to it.
